Condition Guide
Every card we sell is graded by hand using these strict standards. What you see is what you get.
Near Mint
The card appears fresh from the pack with minimal to no visible wear.
- No visible scratches, scuffs, or edge wear
- Corners are sharp and undamaged
- No bends, creases, or indentations
- Surface is clean with full gloss (where applicable)
- Centering is acceptable but doesn't need to be perfect
Lightly Played
The card shows minor wear that's noticeable on close inspection but doesn't detract from the artwork.
- Very light edge wear or minor corner softening
- Faint surface scratches only visible at certain angles
- No creases or bends
- Slight whitening on edges may be present
- Card is still structurally sound and flat
Moderately Played
The card has noticeable wear that is visible at arm's length. Still perfectly playable in sleeves.
- Visible edge wear and corner wear
- Surface scratches that can be felt with a fingernail
- Minor creasing or a small bend may be present
- Some discolouration or fading possible
- Card may have slight warping but remains playable
Heavily Played
The card shows significant wear. Suitable for casual play in sleeves or budget collectors.
- Significant edge wear, fraying, or peeling
- Major creases, bends, or fold lines
- Heavy surface wear affecting artwork visibility
- Possible water damage, staining, or writing
- Card may not lay flat without sleeving
Our Quality Promise
We process thousands of unplayed cards, meaning the vast majority of our inventory is Near Mint. However, we don't rely on assumptions. Before any order leaves our Kent warehouse, every single card is physically inspected. If a card you've purchased slips below our Near Mint standard, your order is paused. We'll contact you immediately with photos of the exact card and offer a choice: a fair discount or a full, instant refund.
